Govt. will preserve the natural beauty of Maldives, assures Pres.

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that the government would prioritize developing the Maldives in such a way that the natural beauty of the country is preserved and maintained.

Speaking at the Wood Badge Reunion banquet held by the Scout Association at Jamaaluddin School, Chief Scout President Solih said that the Maldives is an island nation blessed with a natural beauty that is the envy of the entire world, and assured that the government will put in every effort to ensure the preservation of the country's natural beauty reaches the future generations.

The President further acknowledged that the Scout movement has been highly influential in instilling important social values in the Maldivian community. Scouting teaches important values such as kindness, trustworthiness and being considerate, he added.
