Two people have been injured after a glass sheet fell from Maaveyo Mosque, which is currently under construction.
The police revealed that two Bangladeshi expatriates working at the site were injured in the incident. Although they did not suffer serious injuries, they are currently being treated at state-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
The incident occurred while the glass sheet was being lifted from the ground floor to the upper floor, the police reported.
A similar incident occurred this afternoon after a glass pane fell from “Male’ Grande” flats on Majeedhee Magu. A woman was injured in the incident and is also being treated at IGMH.
