Island Aviation responds to reports of mass resignations within company

Island Aviation Services, the government company managing national airline Maldivian has responded to claims that several senior technical staff of the company had resigned abruptly over grievances.

While several local medias have reported that over 30 senior employees including heads of departments and senior staff had resigned from the company, Island Aviation assured that no incident had occurred within the company that would disrupt the operations and services of the company.

However, it is noted that the company did not deny the reports of resignations.

Reports of the resignations are in circulation at a time when the company is undergoing a restructure. Last week, Director of Flight Operations Mohamed Ameen was dismissed the position.
