Maldives Partnership Forum 2019 kicks off

Maldives Partnership Forum has kicked off at Kurumba Maldives on Monday.

The event was inaugurated by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. Vice President Faisal Naseem is scheduled to address at the two-day forum in addition to President Solih.

The forum is being held in partnership with the President’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Finance. The forum is centered around the theme 'Investing in a Resilient and Sustainable Maldives'.

Maldives Partnership Forum will act as a platform for the government to present prospective opportunities to development partners. Information will be given to partners on the achievements of the country in the economical sector, and on the government's plans to further develop the economy of the country. The government will present its vision on Blue Economy and 'Jazeera Raajje' to the participants.

Maldives Partnership Forum is the biggest multilateral gathering of its kind to be organized in the Maldives. While multiple countries and international organizations are participating in the forum, it is expected to strengthen bilateral relations in addition to opening up new opportunities for the Maldives.
