Economic Minister Fayyaz Ismail met with Indian construction companies during his ongoing visit to the neighboring nation.
During the visit, Minister Fayyaz will be seeking investors and funding for some private sector projects. He will also be meeting with India's Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Mahendra Nath Pandey, and officials from the tourism sector.
Minister Fayyaz is accompanied by officials from newly established government company, Maldives Fund Management Corporation (MFMC). The delegation met with India's top construction companies on Tuesday.
India has earlier extended an economic package of MVR 1.2 billion dollars. The country has also signed an agreement to provide technical assistance to the Maldives.
