Foreign Ministry has established a temporary UK Visa Application Centre.
The temporary UK Visa Application Centre started accepting visa applications at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday . The Visa Centre will collect the biometric enrollments and documents from all applicants who have made prior appointments, said the Foreign Ministry.
The Visa Application Centre will be open from 0900 hrs- 1700 hrs on 5-6 August 2019.
The Government of the United Kingdom established the Visa Application Centre in the Maldives on the request of the Maldivian Government, in order to ease the process for those applying for UK visas, especially students going to the United Kingdom for higher studies. This is part of the government's broader efforts to ease and strengthen the consular services provided to Maldivians.
