A man attempting to smuggle drugs into Dharavandhoo island in Baa atoll was caught on Tuesday.
The police said the 27-year old man was arrested at Dharavandhoo Airport as he attempted to clear customs with the drugs. The man was stopped and searched, upon which a rubber packet and a film canister containing substances suspected to be drugs were found.
The police are investigating the case further.
