A Korean tourist who was holidaying at Halaveli Resort drowned on Monday.
Police confirmed reports of this incident and revealed the victim was taken to AA. atoll hospital. He had already passed away by the time he was taken to the hospital.
Earlier this year, there was a string of drownings in which several tourists lost their lives. The Tourism Ministry are taking steps to prevent such incidents.
