Deadline for Special Achievement award nominations to expire on Sunday

The National Awards Council has announced that the deadline to submit nominations for the President’s National Award for Special Achievement is set to expire at 1400 hrs this Sunday, September 15, 2019.

According to the President's Office, the President’s National Award for Special Achievement will be accorded in three categories this year. The first category will see awards conferred to individuals who have performed exceptionally well in the field of higher education and training, while the second category will see awards given out to individuals who have excelled at or achieved the highest rank in an international competition or exhibition. The third category will see awards conferred to individuals who, through innovation and research, have found solutions to pertinent issues facing the country.

Nominations for the President’s National Award for Special Achievement can be submitted via a special form addressed to the National Awards Council. Application forms are available at the President’s Office during official working hours or can be downloaded from the President's Office website.

The President’s National Award for Special Achievement will be presented this year at the ceremony held on the occasion of National Day.
