A national framework on patient safety was launched on Tuesday.
The framework was launched by Health Minister Abdulla Ameen at a ceremony held in Hotel Jen to commemorate World Patient Safety Day.
The Health Ministry revealed that the framework was developed with the aid of the World Health Organisation (WHO) to ensure the safe provision of services in collaboration with the entire health sector. The ministry revealed the framework included the best international policies and practices.
The Ministry stated that the framework would facilitate training and development opportunities for healthcare service providers.
