Health professionals have warned of the rapid spreading of Hand, Foot and Mouth disease.
Pediatrician Dr. Ahmed Faisal stated that the viral infection has been spreading at an alarming rate, revealing that the outbreak started over a week ago.
According to Faisal, the disease stems from an enterovirus and can easily be spread among people. He also noted that the disease mainly affects children of age 10 years and younger.
"If a child gets rashes or shows any symptoms of the disease, it would be wise not to send the child to school. Thoroughly clean toys, doors, and other surfaces that may be of reach", Dr. Faisal wrote on Twitter.
