Investigation into Raudha, Yameen, Anas' death completed by commission

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih stated on Thursday that the investigations into the deaths of R. Meedhoo Fenfiyazge Mohamed Anas, renowned model Raudha Athif and blogger Yameen Rasheed have been concluded by the Presidential Commission Investigating Murders and Enforced Disappearances.

Speaking at the news conference held Thursday at the President's Office, President Solih stated that although the investigation of Yameen Rasheed's murder has been concluded, its details cannot be publicized at the time due to ongoing trial. However, he has been informed that the trial will likely conclude early next month, upon which the details of the commission's findings will be publicized, said the President.

The President further confirmed that the investigation and report on the death of Mohamed Anas have also been completed by the commission. However, two individuals still need to be questioned before the report of the investigation can be made public, said President Solih.

President Solih also added that the investigation into Raudha's death has been concluded.

"In addition these deaths, investigations into four other death investigations have also been completed", President Solih revealed.

Anas was stabbed to death inside a motorcycle dealership in capital Male'. While Yameen Rasheed was stabbed 24 times around the same period, Raudha died inside her dormitory at a Bangladesh college.
