JSC investigating Magoodhoo Chief Magistrate

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has made the decision to look into a case involving the Chief Magistrate of Faafu Atoll, Magoodhoo High Court, Abdul Sattar Sulaiman.

This decision was made at the commission's 66th meeting held Tuesday. While 23 cases were presented at the meeting, the commission made the decision to further investigate one of these cases.

Recently, JSC has been looking into an increased amount of disciplinary cases of judges. While JSC recommended to dismiss several judges following investigation, the parliament has dismissed some judges as per JSC recommendation in the recent months, including Supreme Court Justice Abdulla Didi.
