Man injured in Maradhoo accident regains consciousness

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has revealed that the man involved in the motorcycle collision that took place in Seenu Maradhoo on 16th September has regained consciousness.

The 55-year-old man was first treated at Maradhoo Regional Hospital, but was airlifted to the capital as his condition worsened.

He was treated in ICU with the help of ventilators. IGMH informs that he has now regained consciousness, but is still admitted in the ICU.

The second driver involved in the accident was a 17-year-old unlicensed boy who fled the scene following the collision. He was later discovered by the police at Hithadhoo Regional Hospital where he was seeking treatment for the minor injuries sustained during the accident.
