Defense Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi has stated that she has closely witnessed the efforts of MNDF personnel in aiding the country during times of need.
The minister made her statement during a meeting held with MNDF personnel to acknowledge their operations during the two recent fire incidents that took place in capital Male'.
Applauding the efforts of MNDF, Minister Mariya recognized the efforts undertaken by MNDF to protect lives and property during the tragic fires last month, and stated that their efforts were commendable. She praised and congratulated the police for their work.
"I have witnessed firsthand how you are quick to come to the rescue when people are distress, whether it is day or night, rain or shine", said Minister Mariya.
