Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital begins CT scan and Cardiac Center services

H.Dh. Kulhudhuffushi Hospital has officially begun services at their new 'CT scan services and Cardiac Center'.

The center were inaugurated by Health Minister Abdulla Ameen during a ceremony held Friday.

All non-invasive cardiac tests including Echo Cardiogram, Treadmill Testing and Holter Monitoring facilities are available at the Cardiac Center. The center can serve 64,000 patients, said the Ministry.

The ministry said 74 patients were urgently referred for CT and Cardio testing, and a large expenditure is incurred to seek the services elsewhere. With the commencement of services, the expenditure on referrals will decrease significantly, said the ministry.

CT scan and Cardiac Center was developed at Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital under the administration's aim to develop five hospitals. While 305 patients seek services at the hospital on average, patients from HDh, HA, aand Sh atoll travel to the hospital for treatment.
