Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has initiated the project to develop ta harbor in Meedhoo, Addu City.
MTCC revealed Wednesday that they initiated work on October 12 after conducting an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). 10% of the project is already complete, said MTCC.
The development of the Meedhoo harbor was assigned to MTCC on June 23.
Work under the project includes the establishment of a 2,480 meter pavement, a 115 meter offshore breakwater, in addition to a 208 meters onshore breakwater. 57,996 cubic meters of the island lagoon will be used to expand the harbor.
