Minister of Defense Mariya Ahmed Didi has visited the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF)'s military warship 'JMSDF Takashima'.
Upon her arrival on the vessel on Wednesday afternoon, an honour guard was presented by Japanese Defense Force. She was then given further information regarding the ship.
Defense Minister was accompanied by Chief of Defense Force Major General Abdulla Shamaal, Commandant of Coast Guard Colonel Mohamed Saleem, Commandant of Fire and Rescue Service Colonel Abdulla Ibrahim and MNDF Male' Area Commander Colonel Abdul Rauf.
Two military ships from the JMSDF arrived in Maldives for a friendly 3-day visit on October 15.
