Nominees for the Gala Edition of "2019 Maldives Travel Awards" have been announced.
Hosted by Maldives Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO), the annual event features 25 award categories, with 236 nominations representing more than 100 registered travel brands in Maldives.
MATATO has opened the nominations for popular vote from 31st October to 30th November. The event is slated to be held on December 7.
According to MATATO, accounts for 40% of the winning score in each category. Winners for the Gala Edition will be selected with a score combination of popular votes (40%) and a review by panel of judges (60%). Voters can send in their votes through MATATO's web portal and via SMS.
Maldives Travel Awards - is the prize created to celebrate the commitment, excellence and expertise in the Maldivian Tourism Industry. First launched in 2012, Maldives Travel Awards celebrates the 8th anniversary in 2019, as most prestigious, comprehensive and sought after recognition in the travel and tourism sector.
