Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has revealed that the commission instructed the government to recover MVR 190 million in state funds during the first nine months of the year.
Statistics released by ACC show that the commission sought to recover a total sum of MVR 190.6 million from different entities over 16 cases investigated by the commission. The government has been able to recover only MVR 78,763 from this amount, said ACC.
The statistics show ACC requested the government to recover MVR 1.8 million during the third quarter of the current year. While three cases were filed with the Prosecutor General's Office during this period, they seek to recover MVR 3.6 million.
