Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has opened up opportunity to apply for Magistrate vacancies available at 14 Magistrate Courts.
JSC had previously issued a notice seeking magistrates for the slots. However, the commission revealed that none of the applicants who applied for the posts were suitable for the posts. Therefore, JSC during their sitting held Sunday made the decision to re-announce submission for the vacancies.
The announcement issued on Monday requested those interested and eligible for the posts to submit their application by the 28th of November. Vacancies are available for the post of Magistrates for three islands, and Chief Magistrates for eleven islands.
Magistrates are needed for the following islands:
- Sh. Funadhoo
- N. Manadhoo
- V. Felidhoo
Chief Magistrates are needed for following islands:
- HDh. Nolhivaram
- N. Holhudhoo
- R. Mudavvari
- B. Thulhadhoo
- K. Guraidhoo
- AA. Mathiveri
- F. Feeali
- Th. Hirilandhoo
- GA. Kolamafushi
- GDh. Fares-Maathoda
The basic salary and allowance of a Magistrate is MVR 23,150 while that of a Chief Magistrate is MVR 25,600, JSC said.
