A court order has been issued to obtain information on a comment that made death threats against a person published on a local news website.
Maldives Police Service requested the Criminal Court to issue an order to obtain the IP address of the connection used to publish the comment. The police have now requested 'Vaguthu Online' to provide the required information under a court order.
This is the first time that such a court order has been issued by the Criminal Court.
