A team of journalists from Belgium has arrived in Maldives to promote the archipelago as an attractive tourist destination.
State tourism promotion company, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) said the team includes journalists from popular publications such as "La Libre", "Marie Claire Belgium", "Together Magazine", "Het Nieusblad", and "Psychology Magazine." Their experience in Maldives would be featured as articles and photographs in their respective publications.
The team will stay two nights at Paradise Island Resort & Spa and will head to Nika Island Resort & Spa for two nights. Their last stay will be at Meeru Island Resort & Spa.
Many such familiarization trips are being organized by MMPRC for foreign media teams. The aim of these trips is to further increase the exposure for the destination in the international markets, said MMPRC.
