Maldives Police Service has released the MTCC bus driver who was arrested last week after a bus he was driving was involved in a fatal collision.
The accident that occured earlier this month near the end of the highway connecting reclaimed suburbs Hulhumale' to the Sinamale' Bridge killed a 13 year old girl.
MPS said the man was released on November 20 after concluding that it was not necessary to keep him in detainment during investigation.
Although the driver has been released, investigation is still ongoing, said the police.
While the accident occurred on November 12, the driver was accused of fleeing the scene following the accident. However, MTCC has stated that neither the driver nor the passengers on the bus were aware that an accident had occurred.
