Finance Ministry has published the names of 19 state-owned enterprises assigned for liquidation.
Most companies included in the list are companies established during the administrations of former presidents Mohamed Nasheed and Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayyoom.
The companies include Maldives Broadcasting Corporation (MNBC), Felivaru Fisheries, Kooddoo Fisheries, Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) and Hazana Maldives.
While there are over 21 state owned enterprises, only a small percentage of companies are able to generate a profit.
