A collection centre of Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has been opened in Hulhumeedhoo island of southernmost Addu city.
MIRA said the the collection centre was opened in Hulhumeedhoo under efforts to make the authority's services easily available for the taxpayers in the region.
The collection center is located in the second floor of STO Building in Hulhumeedhoo.
The authority established a MIRA branch in Hithadhoo in 2012 to provide services in Addu City. The same services provided in the Male' branch of MIRA are offered at the branches in the atolls.
This includes business registration at MIRA, collection of tax and other payments payable to MIRA, and provision of information on taxes.
MIRA offices have been established in 14 different atolls across Maldives.
