The man who allegedly made death threats against Shujau Usman [Chief Justice of the High Court] in attempts to harm the judge has been released from Police custody.
Arrested on Saturday for the alleged death threat, the 50-year old was released under the grounds of insufficient evidence. However, he has been ordered to cooperate with Police investigations.
High Court on Friday said the judge was threatened while he was at a coffee house in Maafushi with the tourism island's Magistrate. A man had attempted to attack the judge, and made death threats against him, the court added.
