Raufa Haidar from S. Hulhudhoo, 'Raiyhvilaage' has been appointed as Registrar of the Supreme Court.
Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) revealed that Raufa was appointed to the post under Article 1-21, section (r) of the Constitution of the Maldives.
Raufa first associated with the Supreme Court as an Assistant Legal Officer in October 19, 2011. Later, following amendments brought to the legal framework, her position changed to that of a Legal Officer.
In addition, Raufa has also served as Interim Registrar of the Supreme Court from April 3, 2013 - the May 7, 2014. Raufa was appointed as Registrar of the Supreme Court last Sunday.
