Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has said that it is imminent to establish more bus stations in various areas of Male’
In an interview given to AVAS by an official of MPL revealed that there will be a new bus route in the area of Carnival next month and it has been planned to establish bus-stops in the area. However, it is yet to be decided.
It is known that there are plans to establish more bus-stops such as near Senahiya and in various areas of Boduthakurufaanu Magu (the main ring road of Male’).
Male’ City Council member Shamau Shareef have previously even told AVAS that it was decided to establish bus-stops near Carnival area, for easy access to the people working in offices located in that area as well as people living that area.
The current routes of the buses operated by MPL are only Boduthakurufanu Magu. There are two bus-stops in Boduthakurufaanu Magu while the other two stops are at the bus station in Male’ and Hulhumale’.
