Advertisement is published opening application for the course “Discover Hospitality” that is conducted collaboratively by Villa College and Universal Foundation.
This programme is implemented under the CSR of Universal Foundation. The agreement for this year was signed by Villa College and Universal on Sunday.
In the ceremony Villa College revealed that essential areas of hospitality industry such as front office, housekeeping and food and beverage services will be taught in the course. The course is combination of 80% practical and 20% theory. Theory classes will be held in the classroom while practical will be conducted in Universal’s resorts. During the internship each participant will be paid a monthly allowance of MVR 3000.

The deadline for application for the course is 22nd January 2020 which can be submitted to Villa College or Universal Enterprises.
Discover Hospitality was initiated in the year 2017. In that regard 15 participants in 2017 and 22 participants in 2018 joined the programme. Last year 28 participants have completed the course. Villa College stated that more than 80% of the participants who completed the course are working in the tourism sector.
