MMA launches 'Python Programming' course

Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has launched a short course for the youth on Python programming language. The foundation course will cover a range of programming talents.

Entitled 'Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python', the course targets the accumulation of students that completed their O-levels last year. MMA has revealed that a total of 20 individuals have joined the course.

Speaking to potential students upon launching the course, Governor of MMA, Ali Hashim stated that the development of the financial sector is widely correlated to technology. He further noted that there would be a massive demand for programmers following the implementation of a national payment system, more so than present.

"You [the youth] are the country's new generation. You should restructure your thinking in a new direction",said the Governor.

Lectures will be given by honorary members of the authority throughout the 9-week course.
