Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has made an announcement seeking a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the company.
Out of the 21 state owned companies, MACL is the only company where a CEO has not been appointed.
In their announcement, MACL said those applying for the post must have 15 years' experience in the field, as well as 10 years' experience at senior management level. Applicants must also have five years' experience working at a C-suite position.
Applicants must also hold a postgraduate degree in aviation field, as well as other similar requirements.
Until now, the CEO and Managing Director of MACL has been appointed by the President.
Currently, MACL is headed by an Acting Managing Director and CEO, Moosa Solih, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's uncle. The company was previously headed by Adil Moosa.
Over 3000 employees work at MACL, and is the company that generates the highest revenue for the state.
