The government of the Maldives and the public company State Trade Organization (STO) has commenced a forum named Onco –Spectra, and on Monday, a session was held for the nurses.
The workshop was held at the Training Institute of STO that continued from morning until late afternoon on Monday. Information was provided on “Role of Nurses in Improving Cancer Care” by renowned Maldivian and international doctors. The purpose of the forum is to enlighten the importance of having proper knowledge of handling, mixing & dispensing the medicines related to cancer.
The forum was held to mark World Cancer Day, jointly by STO, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Cancer Society of Maldives, the government's main hospital Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and Hulhumale’ Hospital.
Dr Reddy’s Laboratories is an Indian Pharmaceutical Company.
