The police have arrested a man for assaulting his spouse on a northern island.
The authority revealed that the woman was treated at the island’s’ Health Centre on Friday night due to some minor injuries caused by the assault. The police further disclosed that they have arrested a 34-year-old man over the issue and the matter is being investigated further.
Subsequent to the occurrence of the incident, some individuals gathered near the Health Centre whom the police dispersed peacefully.
