A collection centre of Maldives Inland Revenue (MIRA) is established in Ga. Vilingili.
MIRA is the government authority that has the mandate to enforce the taxation act and implements taxation policies of the Maldives. According to MIRA, the purpose of opening a centre in Vilingili is to provide easy access to the services offered by MIRA to the public of the region.
The centre was inaugurated by Commissioner General of Taxation, Fathuhulla Jameel.
With the opening of the centre in Vilingili, now there are 15 centres of MIRA across the Maldives.
