TMA seaplane involved in accident

A Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) seaplane was involved in an accident on Monday.

The incident occurred around 11.30 am while the Twin Otter seaplane attempted to land in bad weather conditions near Kuredhu Island Resort of Lh. atoll. The aircraft hit a rogue wave as it tried to make the landing.

No persons received serious injuries in the incident. However, some passengers and crew aboard the aircraft sustained minor injuries.

The Civil Aviation Authority is yet to comment on the incident.
