Health Protection Agency (HPA) has urged to cease excursions to the inhabited islands of the Maldives
In a statement issued by HPA, they urged tourism service providers to cease excursions to the inhabited islands, safari trips and resorts due to the current COVID-19 outbreak.
HPA has also advised to follow the instructions of the government to contain the virus.
Following the detection of 8 infected people in the Maldives, the government has announced a public health emergency on Thursday for 30 days in the Maldives.
