State Electric Company (STELCO) has decided not to print electricity bills of the customers who have shared their mobile numbers with the company.
The company said the decision was made to ensure the safety of its employees and customers during the current COVID-19 outbreak.
STELCO said the electricity bills of the customers who have shared their mobile numbers with the company will be provided via SMS in addition to the mobile app of the company from which the customers can view their bills. However, printed bills will be provided only to those who have not shared their mobile numbers.
Moreover, STELCO has urged the customers to download the company's mobile app and make the payments via the app.
Several companies have been taking numerous safety measures and are requesting customers to make payments online.
