COVID-19: Maldives records 11th recovery

Eleven out of the 16 patients who tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives have recovered from the illness.

While the government has previously confirmed that 9 individuals who had tested positive for the virus had recovered, the authorities on Saturday announced that two additional patients had recovered from the illness, bringing the number of active cases to five. Three out of the five individuals are in Maldives.

THe Health Protection Agency (HPA) declares infected patients free of the virus after two tests confirm they no longer had traces of the virus in their system. All recovered patients will be required to undergo a 30-day quarantine before they are released from the facilities.
