COVID-19: All four Maldivians doing well

The government has stated the condition of four local people who are infected with COVID-19, is good.

Thus far, 19 people have tested positive for the virus out which 13 people have recovered, all of whom are foreigners. They still remain in quarantine for monitoring. The only active cases at the time are of four locals.

The government’s main hospital, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital’s doctor, Moosa Murad said their condition is good.

“With the will of god, their condition is good. There is no noticeable medical complication”, said Dr Murad.

He further said, four people have been discharged among the people who are in quarantine and whose test results came back negative.

At the moment, there are 15 people in isolation facilities and 866 people in quarantine facilities.
