Arrangements have been made for Maldivian nationals in Malaysia to return to the Maldives.
According to national airline Maldivian, tickets for the flight scheduled for 8 April are now available online for purchase.
The flight is scheduled to take-off at 0600hrs Malaysian time on Wednesday from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. However, the departure time is subject to change, said Maldivian.
Earlier on Sunday, Maldivian arranged a special charter flight to Sri Lanka to repatriate Maldivian nationals in the country. 100 individuals returned to the Maldives on the flight and are currently completing a mandatory 14-day quarantine. The government is also making arrangements to repatriate Maldivian nationals in other countries.
