A person has been injured in an accidental stabbing during a confrontation.
The police on Saturday said a person was accidentally injured during a confrontation that occurred between an expatriate couple in capital city, Male’. The incident occurred when the woman tried to harm herself with a knife after her partner ended the relationship between the couple. Another expatriate intervened and attempted to de-escalate the situation, and hurt himself in the process. His hand was wounded, although the wound is not deep, said the police.
The issue is being investigated further.
