Four islands and a resort have been placed under the Health Protection Authority’s (HPA) monitoring.
In a news brief held on Tuesday, spokesperson of the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC), Mabrook Azeez said, additional four islands and a resort have been placed under HPA’s monitoring.
The islands are; Thulusdhoo and Kudavillingili in Kaafu Atoll, B. Fulhadhoo, Dh. Kudahuvadhoo, and Thulhaagiri Island Resort.
Some islands that were placed under monitoring have now been released from the restrictions. They are; Hdh. Nolhivaram, R. Muravandhoo, and R. Bodufushi.
The islands that have not been released from monitoring are; K.Guraidhoo, Ha. Maarandhoo, Hdh. Vaikaradhoo, Hdh. Hirimaradhoo, Ha. Hoarafushi, Ha. Thuraakunu, Ha. Ihavandhoo, Ha. Uligam, greater Male’ region, Joali Maldives and Maldiviana Safari.
On Tuesday, 15 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the Maldives. The total figure has now reached 84, out of that 16 people have recovered.
