A child passed away after falling into a well in Ga. Kanduhulhudhoo.
The police said they received reports of a four year old boy falling into a well around 11:00 am on Thursday. The child had already passed away by the time he was taken to the Health Centre.
The police are investigating the matter further.
Although such incidents were frequent in the past,they have not occured in the Maldives in the recent years. While most homes in islands traditionally had wells, most are now covered or not in use.
