The construction of AA. Himandhoo harbour has reached completion.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) commenced the project April 2019, with the project value of MVR 47.1 million.
Under the project, 28,030 cubic meters from the lagoon were dredged, and 405 meters of breakwater and 141 meters of revetment were installed. Moreover, harbour lights were installed and pavement of 1750 cubic meters was also constructed. The harbour was developed with a three-meter wide jetty and a ramp.
Himandhoo is an inhabited island of Alif Alif Atoll of the Maldives located in the central part of the country and west of the capital Male’. The atoll is famous among tourists for its unique diving spots.
