Minor Hotel Group donates PCR machine, sanitizer to Maldives

Minor Hotel Group of Thailand has donated a PCR machine and sanitizers to the Maldives.

The Minor Hotel Group operates Anatara Dhigu and Anantara Kihavah Resort in the Maldives.

Economic Ministry revealed on Saturday, the hotel group donated 100 sanitizer bottles and a PCR machine to the Maldives. PCR machine is a machine used for testing COVID-19. Currently, two machines are being used for COVID-19 testing. However, from next Sunday, the main private hospital ADK will start testing for the virus with a capacity of 500 tests per day.

As of Saturday, Maldives has recorded 1313 positive cases of COVID-19, including 127 recoveries and four fatalities. They are; 452 Maldivians and 822 foreigners.
