Narudhoo island has been reinstated to normalcy 35 days after the island was placed under the Health Protection Agency (HPA)'s monitoring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Narudhoo island was put under monitoring status after an island resident tested positive for COVID-19. The man, a captain of local boat 'Amaaz' had traveled to Male' city where the first local transmission case of COVID-19 was identified, and departed from the city a day before the city was placed on lockdown. Six members of his family also tested positive for the virus.
