Education Ministry seeks party to supply soap to schools

Education Ministry has publicised an announcement seeking a party to supply 12,500 bottles of hand soap to local schools.

According to the Education Ministry, the ministry requires 12,500 bottles of hand soap to implement the 'School Wash Programme' being carried out with the assistance from UNICEF. Education Ministry said the bidders must be the local parties that are registered with the Economic Ministry as small or medium enterprises. The ministry further requested interested parties to register between June 3 to 6 via email. Only the parties that register for the programme will be eligible to submit bids, said the ministry. Parties seeking further details are requested to email the ministry before 1400 hrs on June 7. The bid submission deadline is by 1100 hrs on June 9.

One of the most crucial measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is the washing hands frequently. The government has been working to revert to normalcy amid the COVID-19 pandemic by adapting to a ‘new normal’.
