Daily COVID-19 stats: 10 new cases, 24 recoveries

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Saturday said 10 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the Maldives over the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of positive cases to 2,013.

The new cases are of one Maldivian, seven Bangladeshi nationals and two Nepalese nationals.

The HPA also announced 24 new recoveries, raising the recoveries tally to 1,217. Until now, eight COVID-19 related fatalities have been recorded in the Indian ocean archipelago.

34,216 samples have been tested for COVID-19 to date. Currently, 670 people are in isolation while an additional 347 people are in quarantine.
