A person who attempted to smuggle in drugs in a snack packet has been arrested.
Police said a 44-year old local man was arrested after the police received reports that a man travelling to Magoodhoo island was attempting to smuggle in drugs to the island. The man was arrested in an operation conducted by N. Magoodhoo Police Station and Police Intelligence. The case is being investigated at Magoodhoo police station.
On Friday, a 54-year-old man was arrested with alcohol brewing utensils from N. Velidhoo.
